Franny

Franny is an ATR disk image editor. It supports AtariDOS II and SpartaDOS 2 disk formats.

options

• -A - add file to image (paths must be given by using -i and -o,
• -C - create new image,
• -d [s|d] - sector's size [single|double]; default: double,
• -f [a|s] - file system type [AtariDOS II|Sparta 2.0]; default: Sparta 2.0,
• -F - format,
• -h - help,
• -i filename - input filename (source file for -A and -S),
• -I - image summary,
• -l format - list format,
• -Lmask - list directory,
• -m [a|r] - media type (atr|raw); default: atr,
• -M dirname - create dir,
• -N name - volume name,
• -o filename - output filename (destination file for -A and -S),
• -O [a|r] - new media type,
• -R dirname - remove dir,
• -s sectors - total sectors,
• -S - save (extract) filename from image (parameters must be added with -i and -o),
• -t [s|m|d|f|F] - image templates [single|medium|double|full/Full(65535 sectors, 128/256 bytes each)],
• -T [d|s] - change image type (default|sio2ide),
• -U filename - unlink(remove) file,
• -v version,
• -V sector - view (dump) sector.

Features status

Some things are not implemented yet. Main disability is write support for enhanced density in AtariDOS II disk format. Second problem is mydos's subdirectories. An extra tool to develop is a gui.

extra tools

There are also two scripts:

• extract.sh - dump all files from ATR to specified directory (works like atr2unix),
• insert.sh - insert all files from specified directory to ATR (works like unix2atr).
